Anti-bullying week 2016

Today we worked with our buddy class Room 5 to make some videos about bullying. Next week we will edit them and hopefully post some on our blog for you to have a look at!

It's anti-bullying week and we've had lots of discussions about what bullying is, how we can stop it and what we do if we feel like someone is being bullied.

Hundertwasser spiral art

It took Room 6 a lot of perseverance this afternoon to carefully, delicately and patiently create spiral circles using glue and wool. WOW, they did amazing! Have a look at some of the awesome creations they came up with :)

 

A taster of what our Hundertwasser backgrounds are going to look like. Using warm colours created with red, yellow and white, Students created curved line backgrounds in preparation for the spiral flowers we will make this week.

A few pics from our ANZAC day trench experience. Students had to do silent reading in a cramped, hot and restricted space. It was discussed afterwards that the trenches would have been a hard place to have had to live in during the war.

Week 2 update

A huge well done to Room 6 for reaching 1000 Class Dojo points last Friday. Room 6 students have decided that they will aim for 5200 Class Dojo points by week 10, so on average they need to get at least 500 points each week. Students can receive points for a range of different things including: showing integrity, displaying key competencies, being on task, completing their reading logs and home spelling words and even being a helpful member of Room 6 (amongst many other things)! The student who receives the most points by week 10 will be able to choose a movie for Room 6 to watch when they reach 5200 points - exciting!!
